Welcome to the city of Ashtabula Housing and Community Development (AHCD) website! The reason for this site is to better be able to communicate with our citizens and visitors about the areas we are responsible for in our community. Also, we want to allow you to voice your complaints, concerns, compliments and most of all you’re your ideas of how we can better serve you and our community to our fullest potential!
We at AHCD want to do all we can to partner with our hard-working citizens, community and business leaders, churches, social service organizations, foundations, developers and investors in creating a beautiful, safe and thriving city.
We also want to make Ashtabula a place where visitors feel welcome, come to vacation, shop and dine. We want them to take advantage of our beautiful natural resources such as Walnut Beach, the gulf and Indian Trails, scenic Ashtabula River and the shores and waters of the Great Lake Erie. Also close by are a multitude of museums, covered bridges and wineries that thousands come to visit every weekend!
This site is also a link to other helpful organizations and city officials. As you visit this site, or our city, please keep in mind that while we realize we are not all we can be, we are working diligently to get us there! So we ask our citizens to do their part in this great effort in making Ashtabula a place worth being.
